About the Program

Fall Creek Homeschool gives children a chance to be involved in a cohesive, ongoing group of Kindergarten through 5th graders, that meets consistently twice each week throughout the school year. The primary focus is to give children an opportunity to build in-depth relationships while creating and playing together cooperatively. Each child’s pace and style of engaging is fully respected and encouraged. The yearly themes are based in science and nature studies with writing and visual arts lending a substantial supporting role. Regular field trips are planned to observatories, aquariums, quarries, arboretums, museums, farms, apiaries, community businesses, pools, the beach and any place else that supports our investigations.

Schedule

Homeschooling support follows the public school calendar and runs from late August through mid-June. In addition, this ongoing group meets from 10-2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, September through May, with monthly field trips on Wednesdays.

Location

Our classroom is in the Ludlow building, behind the football field at the main high school campus. We are just across the lane from an entrance into Fall Creek State Park where we go exploring with hikes and picnics throughout the year.
